The Protocol

There are four phases in the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol. During all four Phases you will receive one-on-one coaching, teaching you how your body gains weight and what you should be eating in order to maintain a balanced weight.

Meet Our Doctors

Both Doctor Shay and Arthur reached their target weight on the Ideal Protein program, and your Ideal Protein life coaches reached their own wellness goals on the program as well. We know first-hand how quickly you’ll see the weight and inches fall off using Ideal Protein, and how easy it is to stay committed to success—with a little help from your coaches, of course. Great-tasting foods—with menu selections tailored to your own unique eating tastes and preferences—are all part of ensuring lasting results.*

Dr. Suzie Shay

It’s said that experience is the best teacher, even bad experiences. Dr. Shay can trace the empathy she feels toward her patients back to a series of traumatic injuries she suffered in multiple car accidents as a teenager. It was her own recovery through chiropractic care that grew into a calling, and the memory of her pain guides her own nurturing manner. She understands first-hand what it means to be in pain, and the often profound relief it brings when alleviated.

As a mother of two energetic boys herself, she is also drawn to the challenge and rewards of helping women through the rigors of pregnancy (as well as babies following the rigors of birth). Whether it’s helping women who are having difficulty becoming pregnant by successfully employing techniques on the lumbar and pelvic regions, or working to help correctly turn breech babies for birth, Dr. Shay embraces the challenges—and joys!—of chiropractic pediatric care.

While chiropractic pediatrics continues to be an area of postgraduate study and professional emphasis, like Dr. Arthur she does not profess to be a “specialist” in a single area. Instead, Dr. Shay focuses on the unique needs of each individual patient and works to treat the whole person. Sometimes weight loss and dietary or nutritional counseling provide the greatest opportunity to improve a patient’s lifestyle, and Dr. Shay has expertise in all of these areas. You’ll always leave her office with a clear treatment plan and a feeling of confidence knowing that you’re getting the most comprehensive care imaginable.

Dr. David Arthur

Dr. David Arthur was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University. He graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1996 with the designation Cum Laude.

Dr. Arthur’s first experience with Chiropractic care was when he injured his back while training for a swimming competition at the age of 13. Through the skilled care of his Chiropractor, he was able to recover quickly and return to competition. When he returned to competition he was swimming faster and was able to win his Provincial Championship race. “The results I achieved after getting treated by a Chiropractor peaked my interest in improving athletic performance through natural means”. I have come to realize that peak athletic performance can only be achieved through integrated health care and training. It is now common for professional athletes and College teams to have Doctors of Chiropractic on staff. I personally have had the pleasure of helping many local athletes achieve their personal bests.

Dr. David Arthur has done extensive postgraduate studies in the fields of spinal trauma, athletic performance, biomechanics and orthopedics. He has graduated from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego with a Certification in motor vehicle occupant injuries. He has also received the designation of Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner from the Council on Extremity Adjusting. He is also a member of the Washington State Chiropractors Association and the American Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Arthur’s “specialty” is—and will always be—helping people get back to enjoying everyday life.
